There is no disputing the fact that the great Muddy Waters was the official 'King of the Blues". No one sung and phrased his lyrics quite like him. His entire demeanor vibrated with the power of a man with a background as a slave and cotton picker. Somehow like many great blues singer he was able to sublimate his 'hard times' into crafting songs with such intensity and earthshaking tremor, a high five to the 'Mannish Boy.'
