Several years ago I had the chance to come across a fairly rare book on the history of the pirates.Of course the Hollywood image of Captain Morgan and the real version of these high seas outlaws, vary from one extreme to the other. The glamour and the richness was replaced by debauchery, murderer and jumping ship. Nonetheless it was a fascinating insight into a cult group of thugs and psychotics with no remorse or consciousness. The astounding reality is that his style of living still goes on in our seas to the present day !
